Italian Meatballs with a Roasted Tomato Marinara

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 cup asiago cheese
1/2 cup fresh basil
1 small onion diced
1/4 cup diced red pepper
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs beaten
1/4 cup fresh thyme
salt and pepper
3 cloves roasted garlic, minced

Mix all ingredients together, make into 2 oz. meatballs. Brown in pan for 5 minutes. Finish in oven for 10 minutes with sauce on top.

Sauce:
6 roma tomatoes-roasted
2 T olive oil
3 cloves roasted garlic
1/4 minced onion-small
1 cup tomato juice (V-8)
2 T fresh basil
2 T fresh thyme
