Coddled Eggs - Stephanie Godke

Butter the inside of the jar or egg coddler. Break one or two room temperature eggs into the jar. Add salt, pepper or herbs and seasonings. Close the lid loosely and put into boiling water at least half way up the side of the coddler or jar. Cook in simmering water for the following times.
1 large egg - 5 1/2 minutes
1 medium egg - 5 minutes
2 large eggs - 8 1/2 minutes
2 medium eggs - 6 1/2 minutes

IF you would like to add cheese or bacon or both you can add them to the top of the raw eggs.
