Berry Coulis - Monika Sudakov, Chestnut Street Inn
2 pints of mixed berries
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbl orange blossom water
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbl Grand Marnier, Triple Sec or other orange flavored liqueur
Place all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat and cook until the fruit is softened and the sauce is thickened. Remove from heat and chill completely before serving. For smoother texture, puree in a food processor and then strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds.
